Goal 5: Support a Culture of Implementation
Strengthen stakeholder relationships and obtain resources necessary for success are key factors in implementing the Greater Waco Economic Development Plan.
Developing a comprehensive strategic plan was an important step forward, but implementing it is the key to reaping the benefits laid out in the plan.
Chamber leaders are dedicated to carrying out the plan and accomplishing the first four goals: Grow Waco, Develop a Workforce, Change Perceptions and Revitalize Strategic Community Areas.
Goal 5 is the linchpin: Build a Culture of Implementation.
A driving force behind this goal is changing perceptions through the Waco We Do branding campaign, a slogan that summarizes the synergy behind the strategic plan.
And it's the "will-do" culture that leaders want to see continue to develop as the community experiences the success of saving the Veterans Administration Hospital from closing, one of the Chamber's 10 Breakthrough Initiatives, and continued economic development announcements.
Our fifth and final goal for the Chamber of Commerce is to implement the four prior goals. As basic as this sounds, many fine plans indeed never get implemented. This goal is important to everyone at the Chamber.
